Through extensive insight into local requirements and cultural needs, the USD 148 million, Kuwait Investment Opportunities Fund targets high-growth companies in Kuwait, with particular focus on the Healthcare, Technology, Education, and Industrial sectors.
The Fund provides single investments of USD 7 – 14 million as early stage seed capital for companies with good growth prospects or turnaround potential.
Assembling a portfolio of sector-specific local companies with high-growth potential and proactively supporting them to generate substantial long-term earnings and value for investors, the Fund also addresses the broader objective of assisting the country’s social, economic and technological development.
As one of the first to be approved by the National Offset Company (NOC), the Fund pools and manages the Offset commitments of foreign contractors. Since its launch in May 2008, the Fund has been working closely with NOC and has successfully invested in several companies within this portfolio.
